I am so excited to finally share this amazing wedding at the Biltmore hotel, Miami with Shelby and Chris Hermmann. You may remember this couple from a past blog I did of their engagement session in Koreshan State Park. If not, check it out!
What we were expecting to be a bright and sunny wedding on the lawn turned out to be a rainy and windy day, so most of the wedding day was spent in the amazing tiled courtyard and grand ballrooms, and it was perfect. With the overcast skies I just love how moody the whole day was and I couldn’t picture it any other way. Make sure to scroll all the way through for vendor love for all of these amazing details!
I was so inspired by the colors and tile work in the courtyard so instead of doing the typical bridal suite details, I decided to take the brides details outside. I love how amazing Shelby’s Jim Hjelm wedding dress looks against the green staircase.
I loved these invitations by Luster Designs on Paper too. It fit the simple rustic theme perfectly.
I also did Shelby’s Boudoir session months before the wedding, and Shelby gave Chris an album from our session as a present before the wedding. I couldn’t be happier with his reaction, and I don’t think he could be happier with his present!!
Because of the wind, Shelby and Chris’s wedding planner Stephanie from Along came Stephanie made a last minute decision to call the outdoor ceremony and move it indoors. And look at how GORGEOUS it was! It is always amazing when plan B turns out to be even more amazing than plan A. I mean common… that chandelier!
The reception decor couldn’t have been more perfect for the couple either. The groom, Chris Herrmann, happens to be a Major League Baseball player and the catcher for the Minnesota Twins so baseballs were used as the table numbers to bring that element of their lives to the wedding. Ines Naftali Floral did all of the amazing florals for both the ceremony and reception and the decor and rentals were from both Alter Elements and Unearthed Vintage.
