Today on the blog is one of my favorite couples. Laurel and Tyler.
You might remember Laurel and Tyler from their incredibly long blog post I did over the summer of their engagement session. That’s right, they are that disgustingly (and I say that as a total term of endearment) photogenic and incredibly in love couple that can’t take a bad picture and you want to hate them because you envy them but you can’t because they are totally sweet and actually really good people. Yeah. That’s them. Haha! 🙂
Laurel and Tyler’s wedding was on September 7th and was my LAST and final wedding in Erie, PA. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding for my final farewell to Erie.
Laurel and Tyler got ready at the Sheraton Bayfront Hotel. Check out these totally cute robes that Laurel got all of the girls on Etsy.
Laurels makeup was done by Adrienne Pace.
The girls all headed to the church to finish getting ready and get dressed. Laurel’s dress was Jim Hjelm, her shoes were Bradley Mischa and her braclet, head piece (necklace) and “something blue” ring were loaned to her from Joden’s Jewelers.
The girls also had “matching” not matching shorts, so I made them show me some leg. Haha!
Poor little Mayland, Laurel and Tyler’s daughter, was running a temperature and not feeling well at all. Laurel switched right out of bride mode and straight into mommy mode to comfort her little bird.
Laurel’s veil was handmade by Stitches by Roxanne.
The ceremony was held at the GORGEOUS First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant. The architecture of this church is just gorgeous. It is seriously a castle and I wish I would have had more opportunities to photograph there while I was still in Erie.
I love the idea and look of mis-matched bridesmaids dresses. Laurel chose various shades of blush for the girls Dessy dresses.
This little guy was visiting us during our portraits. I thought it was a sweet little moment because Laurel and Tyler call their daughter “bird”.
The gorgeous florals were done by my favorite Erie florist and friends, Beth and Nancy at Beth’s Flowers.
After portraits we headed back the the Sheraton Bayfront Hotel for the reception. Laurel and Tyler’s awesome cake was made by Cindy’s Let Them Eat Cake.
During the toasts, Maid of Honor Nikki had the whole place in tears. She wrote a beautiful letter to Mayland sharing her experiences with her wonderful parents.
Luckily Mayland stepped in to save us from drowning in tears to provide a little comic relief. She obviously had no idea the letter was addressed to her, but I hope that someday when she grows up she will cherish these pictures of her and her parents as she reads the letter.
After dinner and the first dances, Scott of Epic Event Group kept the party hopping for the rest of the night.
Thank you to Laurel and Tyler for including me in your special day!
